As someone who grew up with a mother who likes garden; it would seem unfitting that this piece would end up anywhere other than a place of nature itself. Any plant that has grown holds a gestural and loose feel to the eye. My statue holds both of these attributes as well as being one that resembles nature itself in its given state. As the forms of flowers change my piece reflects it by having the sides risen as to show the metamorphosis taking place. This statue can also be seen as a way to bring people to see what is growing as it can be an eye opener since it would be new and out of what is normally viewed in people’s day to day lives. As for the placement of this piece it can be placed in several different ways. It can be seen in the entryway as an opening piece, or it can be incorporated into the environment as a center point with the surrounding fauna leading to this work. As for the elongated “shadow” it can be placed into the opening pathway to the plants or as a way of leading to itself if placed as a centerpiece. I have complete confidence that this statue can be used in a variety of ways.
